Simon is responsible for the safe delivery of ground and flying training instruction. The role provides the key interface with the customer at one-star level across RAF 22 Group and the MoD, and also provides the senior aircrew interface between the Company and the Customer.
Simon Falla served for 31 years in the Royal Air Force as a helicopter pilot and staff officer. He has flown Gazelle, Chinook and Sea King helicopters and has qualified as both a flying instructor (QHI) and a Tactics Instructor. He has taught ab-intio students and frontline crews training to fly Chinook. He was an A2 QHI and retained a Certificate to Instruct across Gazelle and Chinook for over 15 years. He amassed over 4000 flying hours and saw action in the Falklands, the Balkans and the Gulf. As a staff Officer, he undertook Trials and Tactics duties at the forerunner to the Air warfare Centre, and was latterly the senior planner, then Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff to the Joint Helicopter Command.
Simon lives in Wiltshire and lists running, music and restoring barns as his hobbies.
